Bock Boys

Yesterday, the Bock family embarked on a journey of a lifetime.

Today, I got to upload the photos of our visit with them.

Look out Brazil, we're sending you some of the most wonderful people we know. Look out kids, you are about to learn a TON and have an amazing amount of FUN with Mr. and Mrs. B. We'll miss them terribly around here; now who will godparent our baby boy?!

Mr. Z does the cradle hold like a champ.

Jax steps in for the pacifier rescue.
Can you tell these two have had good coaching and experience?! They were little pros! I am looking forward to seeing how they fare on surf boards, around jungle monkeys, and in Carnival.  I have a feeling when we come to visit them, we'll be eating more than walleye tacos in Rio! I am looking forward to another international trip and am already following their every move on their blog. Onward, friends!

Meanwhile, I think we'll probably do a little more of this on the homefront:

You lookin' at me?

Right back at ya.

If only I could tell you what I am thinking right about now.

Little Love.

Hey, woah! What the...?!

And they play music?! That's cool.

I like it. I really like it.

New Digs

Yup. I moved up in the world. Check out my crib. I am.
Looks good.

Feels good.

I guess I'll hang out here now.

Calling Cards

We had visitors every day for about ten days. It was so fun to host everyone and to have people pop over to meet the new little man. We weren't super diligent about taking people's pics, so if you don't see your mug in this post, please don't be offended. It's our fault, really. Thanks to everyone who swung over to see us; I know I really enjoyed the adult conversation and the hugs.

Sara's got secret ninja nanny skills--should be helpful at Comicon. (Maybe just the ninja part.)

Joseph also has the magic touch.

Just look at that smile! Future babysitter? I think so!
Jerome gets a turn, too. What a sweet little guy.
Deb and Emily stop by on their way to the cabin.

Calvin sneaks a mini death stare at Lou while she mugs for the camera.
Then he tells her about all the people he has met in his little lifetime. He likes being a rock star, but he thinks it's a tough image to uphold...especially with all the paparazzi.

Yearbooking

We had our first yearbook editor meeting. At Cherry Berry. Calvin was openly welcomed into the crew!
Though it seems he was the center of attention, this talented team of ladies and gentleman (!) really pulled together and had one of the best brainstorming sessions I have ever had with an editor group. They really stepped it up; I am looking forward to what they create in the next two weeks before our next meeting. I think this is really going to be a stellar year!

Some folks wanted to have their own Calvin time. Hannah isn't used to not having a baby at home, so she was happy to have a little hold time.
Yup. There was a little waiting line.
Here's the Dream Team. The Fab Five. (Well, and Calvin...the Successful Six??)
Photo shoot! Here's Hannah.
Here's Rachel! Maybe she can teach Calvin some mots en francais, aussi.
Aren't they all too cute?! (Thanks for taking your pic with us, Jessi!!) ;-)

They convinced me to jump in, too.
Candid camera! Why is my mouth always open in candid pictures?? (Alright, that was a rhetorical question, really. Don't answer that.)

Sonie and Livia visit

We had a pretty intense week of visitors--including a former student, Sonie, and her friend's baby, Livia. We really loved having lots of folks stop over to see us! We're happy to let Calvin's fans snuggle him up!
Here's Sonie giving Calvie some love.

Here's Dan giving Livia some love. We just couldn't get over how big she was! We have seen several babies that are about 3-4 months and every time we do we whisper to each other, 'look how big that baby is!' We have this sense that these are GIANT babies, since Calvin is still such a wee one. I am sure next month we'll probably have pics of Dan and Calvin playing tootsie, too, and it will feel normal. For now: 1. We're surrounded by giant babies. 2. They are so freakin' adorable, too!

Tech disagreement

Obviously the ipad and the blog couldn't resolve their differences last week. Posts coming now...enjoy!
